30th July – 8th August

This adventure is one of several challenges created to support the Refugee Campaign 2017/2018. We are working tirelessly to help refugees driven from their homes and escaping their war torn country. Climb the great Mount Ararat, Turkey’s highest mountain in aid of Syria Relief to raise awareness of the current issues, and raise funds to support the efforts of the thousands of people working tirelessly in grassroots projects to help Syrian people through the hard times.

Ascend Mt Ararat, a snow-capped dormant volcano and Turkey's highest peak. Fully supported by our family of porters and kit carrying mules you will experience what it's like to be on a challenging high-altitude expedition. Mt Ararat is situated in Turkey's most eastern district, the border crossing to Iran. The area is steeped in history and natural beauty. This unique itinerary incorporates culturally fascinating visits to an ancient Ottoman Fortress and the site where, according to the book of Genesis, Noah's ark came to rest. We will also visit Ishak Pasa Palace, Ahmeti Hani Tomb, a Kurdish Village, a meteor crater, Iranian border, hot springs, Noah’s Ark, Armenian Village and national park.

The cost of the trip is split between a donation to the charity this trip supports and the operational costs for the challenge. Choose one of the following funding options before booking:

  1. Pay £350 deposit and fundraise a minimum of £2,000 for Syria Relief.
  2. Pay full price of £2,350 and fundraise as much as you can for Syria Relief.
